Spring Break!!!/Spring Break Resolutions.../Things to do on Spring Break if you're not going anywhere!

Hello all!

I'm on Spring Break!  What am I doing for Spring Break, you make ask?  Well, not a damn thing.  Well, that's not completely true.  I do have homework assignments I need to work on and some items I need to put on eBay... I probably should clean the house, as well.  I'm not going on any trip, though.  I don't typically do anyway.  I would have gone and visited my fiancĂ©, but he's in England.  No fair!  I can't blame him though.  If I had the money and the opportunity to go to England, I would definitely go.  I'm glad he got to go.  I can still give him a hard time about not taking me with him though. ;)

But moving on to a brighter note, I have time off from school, which means I have more time to work on making videos!  In fact, I just uploaded one yesterday.  This was certainly a spur of the moment video.  I was just sitting on my bed and the idea came to me so I hopped right to it.  I think those spur of the moment ideas make for the best videos.  Anyway, if you have not seen it, here it is:

It's time for Spring cleaning and organizing.  I thought this would be a neat way to spice up boring, plastic drawers.  Let me know what you think if you watch the video. :)

What else am I going to do over Spring Break?  Well, I'm going to kick Diet Coke once and for all!  It's so hard to stop drinking it, but I know it's bad for me and I really need to stop.  Also, I want to get back into a workout routine.  I've become a lazy bum.

Look at me making Spring Break resolutions!  Hey, it's never too late in the year to start making positive changes in your life.  No need to wait until next January.  That's too far away anyway.

Well, that's it for now!  I hope everyone else who is in school or college enjoys their Spring Break as well!  It's a great time to unwind and de-stress!  If you're like me and you're not going to the beach or lake or where ever you like to go for Spring Break, don't be down!  You can make your Spring Break just as enjoyable:

-Go shopping.
-Get together with long lost girlfriends from your hometown.
-Spend time with relatives.
-Give yourself a spa day or spa week even!  Pamper yourself with relaxing baths, face masks, hair masks, manis, pedis!
-If you have the money, splurge on a mani/pedi at a salon or even a massage!  A massage would be a great way to unwind after weeks of staying up late studying, projects, reports, and exams!
-If you're in need of cash, offer to babysit.  Kids have Spring Break too and they need a sitter!
-Try something new!  Have you been curious about Yoga, painting, etc.  You have a whole week to try your hand in something new!  You may just find yourself a new hobby!
-Kick a bad habit (like me).  Do you drink too much soda/diet soda?  Do you smoke?  Do you drink to much alcohol?  Use this week to focus on kicking your bad habit and turn to other healthier outlets.  With the stress of school gone, it will be easier to not turn to the things we tend to go to when we're feeling tired or stressed.
-Start a fitness routine or a new one if you're bored with your current one.  It's never too late to start getting in to shape!  Now that classes aren't getting in the way, you can figure out the best time to work out and what type of exercise you prefer like running, cycling, tennis, swimming, hiking, etc.
-Take a day trip to the beach or lake (if you live nearby one).  Try to get some girlfriends to come along.  If they're busy or gone on their one trips, you can always just take the day for yourself to catch some rays and relax by the ocean.  Remember to bring sun block!

I'm sure there are so many more activities to make your spring break a fun and productive one!  If you guys have any other suggestions or things you like to do, please list them in the comments!  I'd love to read them!

Well, this post has turned into quite a long one... I think I shall end here.  Again, I hope everyone has a good and safe spring break!

Announcement Day!

Good morning all!

So, the giveaway has officially ended, and the winner selected.  How did I select the winner in a fair way, you may ask?  Well, I googled a random name selector website, copy and pasted all of the names of the entrees (there were 25) and then let it randomly generate name.  The link to the site is below if, I don't know, for some reason you want to make sure my claims are legit.

It would appear it is a tool for the classroom, but it fulfilled what I needed it to, which is randomly select a name.  I'm so excited!  I can't tell you who the winner is just yet.  That will be in my video, but I doubt many people read my blog posts anyway.

I just want to say thanks to all of my subscribers from before and who are new.  This giveaway is an appreciation to you all and I wish I could give each and everyone of you something, but I don't quite have enough money for that.  This is all stuff I will say in the video, but I just wanted to mention it here as well.  If you don't win this go around, no sweat.  I definitely want to hold more giveaways in the future.

Keep an eye out for the announcement video tonight or early tomorrow morning (my time, which is EST, but soon to be EDT Sunday morning at 2am [don't forget to set your clocks forward!]).  I hope you all have a pleasant day!

Giveaway is OPEN!!!/Fun with Granny!

I have the video up.  I had to change the date it ends because I didn't get the video up until last night (sorry about that).  Anyway, if you haven't checked it out, please do!  You could win a MAC Fluidline Gel Liner in Blacktrack and all you have to do is put your answer to my question on the video in the comments section!

Giveaway Video

In other news (because I'm sure you're probably annoyed with me raving about the giveaway the past several days), not too much has been going on with me; however, I did have a lovely day yesterday with my granny.  I had to run some errands so I took her along and we wound up eating at the Atlanta Bread Company and shopping at Target.  She had a really good time.  She only gets out of the house on Sundays and Wednesdays because she can't drive, so I could tell she had a blast!  I had a blast too!

I have to say, I know (especially for you younger people out there around teenage years) it may seem lame to hang out with your grandparents, but it's really very rewarding!  You learn so much from them and hear interesting stories (sometimes over and over).  I know a lot of people get annoyed or impatient with elderly people especially if they have any type of disabling condition, whether physically or mentally, as in the case of my granny who has Alzheimer's.  But they are really, truly wonderful human beings with so much experience and wisdom.  My granny may not remember the name of the street she lives on today, but she can tell you the exact names of the streets she lived on growing up seventy years ago.  She loves to tell me all the stories about her youth and young adult years and just reminisce.

Elderly people may seem boring from the outside looking in, but in reality (if they aren't like the old farts that just, well, "act old" and sit around and do nothing because they think they're too old), they really want to spend time with younger people and do things.  It's like a breath of fresh air for them.  You also find that you have a lot in common with them.  Both my granny and I love to do puzzles, paint, other types of arts and crafts and play the piano.  I'm so happy for the time I get to spend with her and hate that I didn't start sooner.  But now we'll just enjoy the time we have and each other's company.

Well, that's it for now.
