Giveaway is OPEN!!!/Fun with Granny!

I have the video up.  I had to change the date it ends because I didn't get the video up until last night (sorry about that).  Anyway, if you haven't checked it out, please do!  You could win a MAC Fluidline Gel Liner in Blacktrack and all you have to do is put your answer to my question on the video in the comments section!

In other news (because I'm sure you're probably annoyed with me raving about the giveaway the past several days), not too much has been going on with me; however, I did have a lovely day yesterday with my granny.  I had to run some errands so I took her along and we wound up eating at the Atlanta Bread Company and shopping at Target.  She had a really good time.  She only gets out of the house on Sundays and Wednesdays because she can't drive, so I could tell she had a blast!  I had a blast too!

I have to say, I know (especially for you younger people out there around teenage years) it may seem lame to hang out with your grandparents, but it's really very rewarding!  You learn so much from them and hear interesting stories (sometimes over and over).  I know a lot of people get annoyed or impatient with elderly people especially if they have any type of disabling condition, whether physically or mentally, as in the case of my granny who has Alzheimer's.  But they are really, truly wonderful human beings with so much experience and wisdom.  My granny may not remember the name of the street she lives on today, but she can tell you the exact names of the streets she lived on growing up seventy years ago.  She loves to tell me all the stories about her youth and young adult years and just reminisce.

Elderly people may seem boring from the outside looking in, but in reality (if they aren't like the old farts that just, well, "act old" and sit around and do nothing because they think they're too old), they really want to spend time with younger people and do things.  It's like a breath of fresh air for them.  You also find that you have a lot in common with them.  Both my granny and I love to do puzzles, paint, other types of arts and crafts and play the piano.  I'm so happy for the time I get to spend with her and hate that I didn't start sooner.  But now we'll just enjoy the time we have and each other's company.

Well, that's it for now.

Later!

Stay peachy my friends. ;)
